Year 2

Year 2 Key information 

PE
– PE days are Wednesday and Friday
– Kit should be brought into school in Monday and left in school until a Friday.
– PE kit consists of a plain white t-shirt, a navy or black jacket and plain black/grey jogging bottoms or shorts (no lycra shorts or leggings). Children will also need a suitable change or shoes e.g. trainers or plimsoles. 

Maths 

Year 2 have enjoyed practical maths lessons exploring place value, addition and subtraction. They have then used the skills they have learnt in their work. 

RE

In RE the children have been creating artwork based on creating in Creation. Some children used natural resources whilst others drew pictures. The children then shared how special the world is and how we need to care for it.

Animal encounter 

Year 2 really enjoyed getting to learn about different animals and having the opportunity to hold them. The children's favourite animal was the hedgehog.
