The Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle has a growth plan for Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust to serve South Tyneside, Sunderland and East Durham, with a total of 34 schools in the Trust by July 2022.
Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust was established in February 2016, currently there are thirteen schools within the Trust with a schedule of additional schools joining each term.
These are: St Aidan’s Catholic Academy – Sunderland, St Aloysius Catholic Infants School and St Aloysius Catholic Junior School – Hebburn, St Anthony’s Girls Catholic Academy – Sunderland, St Bede’s Catholic Comprehensive School – Peterlee, St Godric’s Catholic Primary School – Thornley, St Joseph’s Catholic Academy – Hebburn, St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School – Jarrow, St Leonards Catholic Primary School – Silksworth, St Mary’s Catholic Primary School – Jarrow, St Mary’s Catholic Primary School – Wingate, Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Primary School – Peterlee and St Wilfrid’s RC College – South Shields.
We are seeking to appoint to the following role:
Phase Lead, Years 1 – 3 with a responsibility for a curriculum area across the school.
Teachers main scale or UPS. A TLR allowance of 2b will be applied if the successful candidate leads the Maths curriculum area across the school in addition to the Phase Lead position. A TLR allowance of 2a will be awarded for all other subject areas (excluding English, English leader already in post).
Permanent. September start, earlier if possible.
We are looking to appoint a Phase Lead, Years 1 – 3 with responsibility for a curriculum area across the School. The lead will teach in Year 2 initially and will lead across the phase. The successful candidate will be a highly effective and aspirational teacher who has an interest in leading a curriculum area across a Primary School, an individual with an excellent knowledge of the school curriculum and assessment for learning techniques to deliver challenging and exciting lessons to our pupils.

Salary scale: Teachers main scale or UPS plus TLR2
Start Date: September 2021, earlier if possible
Contract: Full Time
